Behind-the-Scenes Stories of a Concert Pianist, and a Musical Performance

Milana Strezeva, President & Artistic Director of the Grand Piano Series,  a concert organization featuring artists of the highest caliber in Southwest Florida. A Moldovan-American pianist, she has achieved critical acclaim for her “technically fluid, dramatically convincing, and sonically full-bodied supportive collaborations” (Boston Globe) . Milana began playing chamber music with her clarinetist father and her mother, a renowned soprano, Svetlana Strezeva, at the age of 11.  Her love for family collaboration eventually grew into a passionate advocacy of vocal and instrumental chamber music. Milana has performed in over 30 American states, in Australia, South Africa, and Italy, and in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, and the Ravinia Festival.

Konstantin Soukhovetski, 2019 Innovation Award Winner from the Music Academy Of The West Konstantin, is an artist of singular creative vision. His original work spans from arrangements of operas to Broadway and pop music, from composing symphonic works to premiering avant-guard new ballet. This season Konstantin returns to NYC’s Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall with Pegasus: The Orchestra. Konstantin will also tour nationwide as well as in Spain, playing over 40 performances. Konstantin’s transcriptions and original compositions are published by OE Oficina.  Born in Moscow to a family of artists, he is the recipient of more than 17 awards, and is an alumnus of The Juilliard School where he is an adjunct faculty member. He is also Director of Pedagogy and Narrative Musicianship at the Bronx School For Music.
